If you are a fan of Mountain bike films from back in the days, you know what i am talking about. Those movies were freakin nuts and also the vibe that you got from watching them, has been the greatest. Those were the days that i was beyond pumped for everything that was going around DH mountainbiking.
And soon after 8 years of broken bones and 23 brain concusions, whole bunch of ski movies started to fill out the space on a shelf. The X-ten, Rastafarides, The blizzard of aaahhhh’s, Yearbook, Teddybear crisis, Shanghai Six,… The meaning of those is indescribable. I tried to identify with Cedric Gracia, Seth Morrison and Tanner Hall as much as i could. I started acting nuts and show my white ass to my school mates like Cedric did, i wanted to do biggest backflip possible like Seth did and almost broke my knee patellas trying them on a concrete schoolyard or learn some style that Tanner had. I can say i failed. Since all those years i tried to develop some tricks that everyone learned before and executed them so well that there is almost no point of showing them. I am giving a huge shoutout to Luca Schuler for putting down the sickest triple cork 1080 last night at Frostgun invitational. At the age of 15 not giving a shit what dubs or trips the other guys are throwing down and getting points for it. So, this was the highlight for me yesterday and the spark from back in the days has been lit again. I am already excited to find something of my own out here in the backcountry of Slovenian Alps and maybe show it in the next Untouched project’s movie, so someone like me can get pumped for skiing. Go nuts checking out some of the photos my friends made during bc jump sessions at ski center Vogel during the past week.
