✙ FRENCH VISITOR

The past week of skiing was not quite what i expected. My French buddy Mati Imbert payed a visit and i got the chance to hang out and ski some of the cooler stuff with him here in Slovenia even tho it’s hard to please a guy that lives in Chamonix. We had tons of moments that reminded us of the fact that we love to do this, like to hang out and feel the butterflies climbing up. People forgot to have fun and nowadays it’s kinda hard to stay positive in this “world’s mess” !

In the past i’ve never really been focused on skiing some of the steeper and narrower stuff, since we always built a jump and had a spring session. This season our crew mixed it up a bit and juiced it with some coolies down the road. I also believe that the last two ones were never skied before, but i don’t wanna claim since that’s so american. Mati and i had so much fun testing some new Elan Spectrum skis and shredding every day. Maca joined us for the trip to SLO-ITA border’s desant and took home nice souvenir.

Sometimes we forget how much fun can we have and the coolie above Kranjska Gora was the proof that ONE 20ish min ride can beat all the Vitranc cup like on-piste turns. We skied down the slushy, crusty, icy coolie and got the 15min slalom through the trees as a reward for 3hour hike to the top. That felt good!

Short video i made from the last couloir:

After all “alpine skiing” hype there is always time to relax and kick it on jumps, even tho it was just a river gap. I still remember the days when i was about 7 years old, when mum took me to Krnica valley for the whole day and i was freezing my balls off in Pišnica river, snapping with my teeth and not giving a damn f#!? what is happening around me. At least i still kinda know how to have fun.
