It’s been more than 12 years ago when i first got a bike. “American eagle” was made for cross country style, but i pimped it out for jumping on streets, in woods, on trails. I was hooked, so hooked that was obsessing me the whole end of elementary school, whole high school, but unfortunately had to choose between skiing and downhill racing. I chose skiing with bitterness, but did the right thing. There was just too many injuries and the budget in our familiy pretty damn tight. I still bought a BMX as a “on a side” thing, but that thing made my off seasons pretty f$(%ing cool.
There is one guy that i want to point out as he is putting a lot of effort in the Slovenian scene’s growth. Rok Langus aka. RKTV aka. Gunner aka. re_kreativ came with me one day to the woods to get to know trails. As his “Mr.Myiagi” i tried to show him my basic knowledge and the guy got hooked even more than i did. that’s pretty damn tight. And in return for this felicitously recruitment, his friend Klučo and Gunner shoveled up a nice little secret traily castle up in the woods so i can now come back sometimes and give the rust a scrub.
Anyway, Mr. Re_kreativ, Mr. Boostman aka. Andrej Mikelj, Luka Kovič (owner of a sweet bmx shop http://www.evolution-bmx.com) and young photographer Nejc Puš ( http://www.pusnejc.com ) invited me to amazing, new, concrete schoolyard in Gorica. The bowl was a bit tight for a bmx, but we found time to enjoy every minute together, had some blast and shed some tears of laugh.
